Congratulations to all students who participated in the 2023 Zone 4 Area All-State festival!
NYSSMA Zone 4 (Herkimer, Oneida, and Oswego counties) proudly hosted another successful Area All-State festival on 11/17 and 11/18 at Phoenix CSD. The top students in the tri-county area came together to put on an amazing weekend of music. Many thanks to Liza Grethel and the teachers at Phoenix for hosting an outstanding festival!
Four Oneida County School Districts earn Best Communities for Music Education Recognition
OCMEA is proud to have four school districts earn the distinction of a Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. The 2021 winners are:
Clinton Central School District
Holland Patent Central School District
New Hartford Central School District
Rome City School District
The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.
