Elementary
All County Festival

OCMEA's  2024 Elementary All County Festival will be held on April 12-13 at Remsen Central Schools. The festival features student musicians in grades 5 and 6 from throughout the county. At the festival, students work with a guest conductor to prepare several pieces. The festival culminates with a concert performance for the public which benefits the OCMEA Scholarship fund. A traditional Elementary All County Festival features the following ensembles:

• String Orchestra- Janelle Conklin, conductor

• Mixed Chorus- Bethany Colenzo, conductor

• Concert Band- Norin Lavender, conductor

Interested students are nominated by their teacher and reviewed by a committee where they are selected for each ensemble.
